Since 2014, Hugo is First Solar's Director of Asset Management & Energy Services Latin America, being responsible for setting up and managing the local AM and O&M organization.

Juan Carlos Araneda is Electrical Engineer from the Technical University Federico Santa María, Valparaíso, Chile (1983) and has a Master of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manchester (2002).
Araneda has extensive experience in the electricity sector. For the last 30 years, he has worked in the electricity distributor Chilquinta, the power generation company Colbún and the transmission company Transelec. Moreover, he has been a teacher in several academic institutions.
Currently, Juan Carlos is Transmission Planning Manager at the National Electricity Coordination Unit (Coordinador Eléctrico Nacional).
He is also Senior Member of IEEE, member of CIGRE and President of the Chilean Committee. He has participated in the international Review Committee C1 (System Development and Economics).

Thomas Stetter moved to Chile in 2011 and develops photovoltaic plants as CEO and co-owner of Soventix Chile SpA. During the last 2,5 years, Soventix developed (until ready-to-build status) and sold two utility-scale projects (50+63 MW), developed a portfolio of 3 MW projects and several industrial rooftop projects. In addition, Soventix launched the Chile Solar Fund with the objective of funding thirty 3 MW projects, open for all project developers in Chile, over the next 3 years. Soventix will act as fund manager.
Thomas has been founder, co-owner and member of the Executive Board of First Climate AG from 1999 - 2011 (First Climate in 2011: 120 employees, subsidiaries on five continents, turnover 60 m€, AuM 200 m€). He co-developed the origination business of First Climate and launched the subsidiary in China resulting in more than 20 Mio CO2 Emission Reductions (CERs) under contract. In the project finance sector, Thomas structured and advised energy and infrastructure projects of a value of over € 1.5 billion. He was member of the board of Suryachakra Inc. in India (50 MW from biomass projects), representing one of the funds managed by First Climate. Until 1999, Thomas worked for Ernst Basler + Partner a leading Swiss consultancy firm, being responsible department head for project management as well as launching and managing the company's subsidiary in Potsdam, Germany.

Iñigo leads Solarpack’s business in the Andean Region, reporting to Solarpack’s CEO. Solarpack develops, builds and operates utility scale PV power plants worldwide, having operations in several countries in LatAm, including Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
Iñigo has over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy business, having held executive responsibilities in several multinational corporations. He joined Solarpack from SunEdison, where he was O&M Director for LatAm. Prior to this, he worked for the Spanish construction and services multinational FCC, acting as Head of Renewable Energy Development, and for Iberdrola Renewables, firstly as O&M engineer and finally as O&M Director for USA, based in Philadelphia, USA.
Born in Spain in 1978, Iñigo holds a M. Sc. Industrial Engineering degree by the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICAI (Madrid, Spain) and an Executive MBA by IESE Business School.

Hugh Rudnick is partner and Director of Systep. He has deep knowledge of the Chilean electricity market, where he has made significant contributions in methodological and tariff terms. He is Civil Electric Engineer from Universidad de Chile and Doctor of Philosophy, University of Manchester, England. During his professional activity of more than 45 years, Dr. Rudnick has developed a vast trajectory in issues related to the regulation of the electric sector in Latin America, both in the regulation and pricing of transmission and distribution and in the organization of competitive generation markets. Dr. Rudnick also has developed a number of technical studies in the area of transmission and distribution. He has rendered consultancy services to large consumers, electric firms and governments in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Central America and Panama, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Spain, England, Mexico, Peru, Tasmania, Uruguay and Venezuela, and for the UNDP, UNCTAD and the World Bank.

Mr. Uauy is a Business Administration Graduate and a Master of Science in Finance from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile. He started his career as a DCM analyst at Scotiabank Chile where he collaborated with large corporate clients within the local market and supported Managing Directors in the pitching and execution of DCM transactions. Mr. Uauy then joined HSBC as an corporate analyst and was later promoted to Relationship Manager within the Large Corporate division. During the past 6 years he has part of the Project Finance and Advisory team at DNB, where he has specialized in Renewable Energy project financing and structured finance. Mr. Uauy has participated and led financings for an aggregate debt amount in excess of USD 3.5billion for a total installed capacity in excess of 2.5GW in countries like Chile, Peru and Uruguay.

Alfredo Solar Pinedo is a Civil Engineer graduated from Universidad de Chile.
In 2002 he became General Manager of Acciona Energía Chile and worked across their entire technology portfolio. In 2014 he moved to SunEdison and became their GM for the Chilean market. During this tenure the company developed, financed, built and operate 400 MW of PV Projects in Chile. From 2010 to 2016 he also acted as President of ACERA, the Chilean Renewable Energies Association. Since 2017 he is General Manager Chile for ATLAS Renewable Energy. An Actis Company who has recently acquire assets from SunEdison (Chile, Uruguay Brasil and Mexico) to create a Renewable Platform in Latam with a 1.5 GW investment plan.

Mark Harris is responsible for SMBC's project finance business in Chile. In this capacity, Mark has raised financing for over $4Bn worth of power, infrastructure and mining assets in Chile, and provides advisory in bringing equity to local assets. On the solar side, Mark has closed on 4 utility scale solar financings in Chile in the last two years, including the latest one in June 2017 as Financial Advisor to a 100MW solar project in the SING. Prior to relocating to Chile, Mark worked in the Project Finance team for SMBC in New York covering the LatAm region, and for the Energy team at BBVA covering North America. Mark holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Since July 2017, he is a Consultant for Solar PV operations in partnership with Anabática Renovables. Mr. Alvarez-Bolado graduated from the University of Valladolid, Spain with a M. Sc. in electrical engineering and attended the development program for executives at IESE Business School in Spain.

Felipe Ribbeck is an electrical engineer from the University of Chile with an MBA from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and has more than 20 years of international experience in M&A and project development in the power sector, with a focus on renewables since 2009, with the development of Chile's 3rd wind park. Over this period, over US$1 billion of investment was accomplished along with development and due diligence of dozens of power projects in Latin America. He has cofounded several companies, served on Boards and been CEO of power companies in the region, having a determinant role growing a 500 MW Chilean power company to a diversified energy holding company traded on the NYSE, with operations in 6 countries and controlling over 7000 MW in the region in 6 years.

Andres leads the Project Finance practice at BBVA Chile.
Before joining BBVA, Andres worked at Citigroup, originating and executing M&A and Project Finance transactions throughout Latin America. He has been involved in Energy, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure projects, closing deals in US, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile, including as Lead Arranger in the US$ 860MM financing of the 600km transmission line that will interconnect SIC and SING systems.
Andres holds a J.D. from Universidad Catolica Argentina, an MSc in Finance from Universidad del CEMA, an LL.M from Duke University School of Law and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University). He has published over 30 articles on legal and financial issues and is a correspondent for the Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law (UK).

Daniel Rosende is the general manager of SMA South America (based in Chile), the Regional Subsidiaryof solar inverter leader SMA Solar Technology AG, headquartered in Germany. In this role, he develops and manages all sales, marketing and service activities—from initial setup of new subsidiaries to operational functionality—for South America. His key focus is on positioning SMA as the inverter technology supplier for all PV applications—residential, commercial and utility-scale—in the region.
Before joining SMA, Mr. Rosende was Project Manager for Solairedirect, a leading French independent power producer, where he was responsible for the development and execution of PV projects in Chile. His duties included ensuring that project and business development was in line with Solairedirect corporate guidelines, and managing and delivering solar power projects and business on time and on cost. He also has worked for the renewable energy department (energy policy and energy systems) of the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, based in Germany. There, he provided technical and economic analysis of renewable energy markets in the European Union and Latin America (Chile), and studied the policy and supporting mechanisms for renewable energies and energy efficiency.
Mr. Rosende earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a MBA in international management from Fachhochschule Pforzheim in Germany.
